Darren blinked his eyes several times before he finally got his bearings right again. There was a bright light straight ahead of him. The LOUD HORN !! Now, that woke him up. He quickly caught hold of the steering wheels & steered the truck back.
WOW ! That was a close call.. Too narrow for comfort.
The truck had hit something. OH NO !! Darren lost control of the truck once again & it skidded to the side of the road, hitting a tall billboard that said ### "DRIVE SAFE & SAVE LIVES" ###
Time seemed to have come & gone for Darren. He couldn't remember what happened. Everything seemed so blur & confusing for him. He had vague memories of blinking lights, paramedics & police. Loud sounds of yelling & screaming all around him. Nothing seemed to make sense.

It wasn't until Darren gain his consciousness, that he slowly began to remember what had happened.
He had hit a young boy. Darren remembered seeing the boy flying off from the ground & landing on the billboard which the truck had slammed into. The boy died on the spot. In all his years of being a truck driver, he's never been this careless before. NEVER !! But now, he was guilty for the life of a young boy.
Darren never forgave himself for the mistake he made. No amends to the boy's family could ever bring him back. Although, Darren was sentenced to life imprisonment, it was never enough for Darren.
After a few years, Darren took his own life & left a note to the boy's family apologizing for their loss.
This is a very dark version of the story I wanted to tell as in reality such accidents do happen to people we know. And when they do, I hope we have the strength to forgive & forget as how God has taught us
