A small but important detail: I forgot to mention that Sheikh Zayed, who passed away in 2004, is buried within the grounds of this mosque, making it also a place of pilgrimage for many faithful.
But alas, our visit is coming to an end, and we are slowly making our way to the exit while not missing the opportunity to admire the numerous architectural features that make this place so stunning.

Petit détail qui a son importance : j'ai oublié de préciser que le Sheikh Zayed, décédé en 2004, est enterré dans l'enceinte de cette mosquée, ce qui en fait également un lieu de pèlerinage pour de nombreux fidèles.
Mais notre visite touche, hélas, à sa fin et nous nous dirigeons lentement vers la sortie tout en ne manquant pas d'admirer les nombreux aménagements architecturaux qui font la spécificité de ce superbe endroit.

The mosque has 1,048 columns like these. I find them absolutely beautiful and very refined.
La mosquée compte 1.048 colonnes comme celles-ci. Je les trouve absolument magnifiques et très raffinées.
