Saint Lucia is an island country located in the Caribbean archipelago between Martinique and Barbados and has its capital in Castries. The population is 150,000 inhabitants. The official language of the island is English, but many locals speak kweyol, which has turned from a dialect of French into a true language with its own grammar.
