How many lives
Has one led
How many ends
Nigh?

Flickering in the pitch black night
Yet life's flames burn bright

Tenebrous pounding at the door
When the gust cometh
Yet steadfast is the unwavering light
So strong is the desire
The will to go on
Once a survivor
Will survive again
And again

The invisible hand
At the abyssal ravine
Nudges you back
Back to the light
Away and take flight
From the consuming night
Away from its grasp and sight

Do not wither my young dandelion
When the breeze taketh away
Shed your ghostly fleece
Fight
And live on
Return with the seasons
And I shall see you in Spring once again
