Usually with these holiday storylines it's about something that happened in the past and we're going to learn all about it. The last time we had a Moonchase Festival in the game was year 2 of the game's release. Back then they gave us really cool lore about Marchosias aka the little bear buddy that follows around Xiangling a launch character. It set up some interesting details about how things work in the Genshin universe.
This time I think it'll be less important. I think we're getting another chapter in the Eight Adepts story which started 2 years ago. Back then we learned about all of them and how they did a thing that killed one of them. In the event itself, we almost lost Hu Tao the same way but then we saved her. A year later, we got the story about Zibai and how she was trapped in the image of the moon created in the artificial sky. This time we already know it's about Wind Reader and since it's a part 3 I'm going to say it's about the whole gang. There's probably something more specific that the story will focus on but the effect will be about setting up the modern generation of the Eight Adepts. I mean we already have plenty of prospective members. Hu Tao for one already embodied one of them and she's already the center of her group of impressive friends that actually grew even back in that event 2 years ago and that new friend, Lan Yan is the focus character now. We'll see Saturday!
