In a house in a nice neighborhood, a cat in labor pains gave birth to four precious creatures whom she named Tamara, Asuncion, Taurus and Silicon, of which Taurus was the only brown one and the other kittens were white as snow, their mother takes care of them with affection, educates them and explains to her.
"One day man will take them away, and they will have to open all their hearts to pierce their souls and form a bond of love, that will be their moments".
They were in the garden of the house playing, The owners called them with tenderness, and they came offering them affection and purring when they were taken by surprise and put in a box.
"I haven't found anyone to adopt them, I'm taking them to a place where they can live in peace," the owner told his wife, and the box was deposited in a distant forest.
The humans looked like people who could be trusted, but because of that trust they let them be put in a box and abandoned to their fate, then they began to question each other. Some wanted to meow for someone to come to their aid, but Assumption and Taurus said in their cat language.
"Don't call the man because we may end up worse off than the situation we didn't find."
Hours passed, and they began to feel hungry and thirsty, the place where they were was full of huge trees with thorns and none dared to leave the box where they were abandoned. Fear invaded them and their feelings made them call their mother, but she was too far away to hear their cry.
"Mom, come and get us, we are alone"
All were crying except one, Taurus who also wanted to succumb to fear, but did not allow himself to do so since he had to stand firm and transmit courage to his siblings, he decided to leave the box venturing into the unknown to find some food. When he stepped into the undergrowth, he pricked his paw on one of the thorns of the trees that abounded, even so, he continued on his way taking soft steps, a smell in the air led him to a bag of waste that guarded a rat twice his size. The creature to see him said:
"Stay away or I'll kill you"
The rat began to eat the contents while Taurus waited for the animal to be satiated, but the rat didn't seem to leave them anything, then from the shadow a snake quickly bit the rat, the rat looked at its wound and saw two blood stains on its thigh, "hell" said the rat, The snake left following its trail and Taurus took the opportunity to take the leftover food to his brothers, although it had become clear to him that the world he was hiding in was dangerous, and he couldn't have room to cry or cower.
The night came, and strange noises were heard all around them, the only thing that protected them was the cardboard box that had condemned them. The next day some children playing ball called Silicio's attention, and he went to look for help, but they tried to hurt him, and he returned to his brothers a little scared and more distrustful than ever, that day they did not eat anything and the next day neither did they eat anything.
They spent a few days surviving with what Taurus could barely get until they heard some knocks in the forest, tac, tac, tac, tac, they approached carefully and saw a woodcutter cutting a tree, tired and desperate Tamara walked towards him, the woodcutter looked at her seriously, he seemed to be upset, however he lowered his hands to take her with tenderness, She felt safe again as in those days, Taurus, seeing her happy, walked away, Silicio followed him and finally, somewhat disconcerted, Asuncion did the same, Tamara turned to see her brothers with the hope that they would come closer and only watched as they walked away in the shadows of the forest, frowning, she ran after them shouting
"Where are you going, wait for me, don't leave me here, what's wrong with you?" but he couldn't catch up with them so he had to go back and the woodcutter took her with him.
"Why did we do that to Tamara?" asked Asuncion
Taurus with tears in his eyes answered "That was her special moment, they weren't going to take us all and she wouldn't want to leave if we waited for her."
Silicio with a nod of his head confirmed it and said: "It was a difficult decision but it was the right one".
One day looking for some food he found a bird's nest, so Taurus climbed up and when he tried to reach it he fell from the tree burying a thorn in one of his legs very deep, and as if that wasn't enough the snake that had eaten the rat, seeing him so vulnerable took him as a target, his brothers came to his aid but Taurus, knowing his lethality, shouted:
Don't come any closer, get out of here! "
The snake made his quick attack, unexpectedly taurus could see his fierce movement, because he had also become bold, he dodged and bit the head of the snake, his brothers smiled in admiration, but the snake began to wrap him with his body contracting his muscles, he exerted a strong pressure on the cat, and the more pressure he makes the stronger he bites his skull, the blood of the snake spills on the floor, but it does not stop pressing him and the cat begins to feel his strength running out, the viper's rings do not allow him to expand his lungs, he cannot breathe, the blood in his body squeezes his head and little by little Taurus' jaw loosens, the snake unwinds its prey, but instead of eating it, it moves away and Taurus' body reacts and gets up wounded but victorious.
"Brother, I thought you had died," said Asuncion with concern.
"I thought so too, when I felt I was dying, the snake immediately let go of me because it had no energy left either, it left feeling victorious and I woke up defeated."
Silicius looked at her body and said, "Taurus, you are wounded, we can't stay here, we have to look for help with the humans, I have seen people walking on the hill".
"Well then let's get closer I have no choice but to trust them again".
Although the hill was not far away, Taurus could not go even half the way.
"Go on, brothers, I'll rest for a while" said Taurus closing his tired eyes.
Asuncion and Silicio didn't want to leave him and started meowing loudly until some people who heard them approached.
"Look at some kittens" Said a little girl.
They took Asuncion and silicio and they in their hands were shouting to Taurus.
" Taurus meows to take you with us! "
But Taurus didn't meow, he seemed asleep, carefree, happy, as if his special moment had arrived.
