But when they say this they really fail to understand how Instagram works and so fail to find a solution or fix.

So if you want clickable links on Instagram then all you have to do is to be a bit clever when it comes to Instagram.
If you want to promote a product for example then all you do is to create another Instagram page for that product and fill it with content for that product.
Then when you mention that page of Instagram it links into that page. That is really the only way to add clickable links on Instagram.
