It's not a silver bullet strategy. Maybe I'm just cherry-picking here. Just something I've noticed that comes in handy. Defender of Truth + Angel of Light can be a pretty good pairing, when you get to the Silver League.
I call the strategy "Super Tank." Usually a tank's role is to absorb most of the enemy attack. Tank attack is sometimes even non-existent, but most often secondary to absorption. The idea is to purposefully get your own Defender of Truth to die first, such that when Angel of Light uses Resurrect on Defender of Truth, his Protect buff gets reset, which means your entire party gets armor points reset.
But as always, you have to pay close attention to the Rule Set:
| Set | Examples | Strategy |
|---|---|---|
| A | For the Weak Magic rules, where magic attacks hit armor before reducing health, Defender of Truth is imperative because magic attacks will hit his Protect buff, benefitting the whole party. There's no way to ensure he dies first, but if he does, the strategy will probably work. | |
| A B | For the Super Sneak rules, where all melee attack monsters have the Sneak ability, it makes sense to put Defender of Truth in the very back and Angel of Light in the middle. Putting Defender of Truth on the final position means he will probably die first in Super Sneak. |
The Cute Couple
As I said, it's not a silver bullet. Some nuance to balance things out ...
- Some examples where it barely worked under other rule sets:

- An example where I used my strategy but my opponent didn't take advantage of the rule set, which is actually a pretty good defense against my strategy (even though it didn't help them):
- Here, Defender of Truth did not die first, but the remaining strategy worked nonetheless, including the Protect reset, but for just the front position:
- Here, my strategy just didn't work:
