The last few days I’ve really been getting a workout in hot and humid conditions. A small studio apartment has become available in our apartment building. My wife and her best friend have decided to rent it and use it as work space for their sewing/craft projects.
They both work on projects to sell. Especially holiday themed projects. My wife quilts and does some crafting. Her friend (also cousin by marriage) runs a holiday sale at her dad’s farm a few weeks before Christmas.
I’ve been helping take some trash out from the previous tenant. I’ve also tried some simple plumbing, but we believe there is a blockage somewhere in the pipe past the wall. I’ve moved an air conditioner up to the place and moved a bookcase, fridge, and stove around during the cleaning.
Originally it was very stuffy and humid in there until we got the air conditioner and we were able to unstick some of the windows so we could get the air circulating. Once we are done cleaning, the next step is painting. When I get back over there I will snap some “before” pictures and then some “after” pictures as we set up the work space.
