Today my work day was intense, but it did not prevent me from making an afternoon stop to enjoy a good coffee, accompanied by my partner and friend lagoticaderocio@lagoticaderocio. In addition, that moment of delight had a special nuance, because instead of staying in the office, we sat down to drink our delicious liquid with the view of the Malecón of Havana as company.
Today was one of those days that seem like they will never end, because responsibilities and documentation pile up. Nevertheless, I think that after my 3:00 pm cuppa, I felt reenergized.

We drank our coffee at the Casa del Habano, a space that I love for its fascinating architecture, and which I have already talked about in other posts for its attractive design. I tell you that in this facility there is an impressive smell of wood, which is impregnated in the senses for a long time. This detail is important, because from my perception, the wood and the aroma of coffee achieve a unique pairing.
Our espresso was prepared by one of the most professional and attentive baristas I know. His name is Omar, and he always gives us a sincere smile. Omar has a very exciting life story because he had to work very hard to get all the results he now boasts. He always says that his vocation for service and his love for coffee made him overcome all the obstacles that came his way, and I find that very inspiring.
I believe that one of the many positive effects that coffee has is to bring us closer to the people around us.
