Hi, guys!

I’m continuing work on my book—a long, painstaking process. For now, I’m sketching out scenes while simultaneously building the universe's logic and fleshing out character biographies. I can't properly begin weaving the entire plot into a cohesive whole until I’ve fully finalized the universe, biographies, maps, and political structure, so for the moment, I’m just working on individual elements. I don't yet know how I’ll tie it all together—it certainly won't be an easy task—but I hope I’ll manage somehow.

The book's universe is vast, so there’s a huge amount of work involved; fleshing it all out properly and to a high standard will definitely take months. Working on individual character arcs keeps me from losing the narrative thread and simply keeps things entertaining. It gives me the chance to think calmly about the plot and develop it bit by bit. Of course, I realize I’ll likely have to rewrite parts of it later, but that’s fine—I’ll make corrections as I go. Eventually, everything will need to converge, but I think I’ll be able to handle that when the time comes.

So, for now, I’m just plugging away, approaching the text from various angles. Later, I’ll need to turn it into a proper narrative. I already have enough material for several volumes, and there will be even more very soon. I have no idea how long the series will end up being, but it’s definitely going to be substantial. We’ll see how it all turns out. I’ve already created a few visual boards featuring my characters; it really helps me get into the right mindset. It feels like my characters are literally living in my room—I can look right at them.

Right now, I think I’ll lie down and get some more sleep because I’m practically passing out; I’ll tackle the work afterward. I don't really want to work when my eyes are struggling to stay open. So, rest first, then some solid, productive work.

Have a great day, everyone!
