I mentioned in one of my last posts that we just spent 2 whole weeks without phone reception while camping at Abraham Lake in Alberta (crazy in this day and age!). It was absolutely wonderful. Every day was sunny and we had average daily temperatures of about 12C (53F). On our last day the temperature dropped and we had a dump of snow so decided we'd stay an extra day so we didn't have to drive in it.
Here is a list of the things we did while we were there:
- read a lot of books
- had many campfires
- played board games
- explored out on the frozen lake
- and welcomed the Spring Equinox with a HUGE aurora!!! (pictured)
On one of our last nights Ryan woke and noticed and HUGE aurora. He woke me and we both went down onto the frozen lake to view it. It was magical. It was pulsating and dancing across the sky.
Safe to say that we thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing time at Abraham Lake.
