A turn trail reminder
As it strays from the light
High branches cramp closer
Press down the tree trunk
With a scatter of squirrel
Opossum and skunk
Not passel nor scurry
Neither surfeit disarm
To raise a suspicion
Or sound the alarm
Fast thickets encroach now
The light of the moon
Once full guide's reflection
Is fading too soon
Run, falter forward
Through darkening night
Trip towards the lightning
On thunder take flight
You'll find me there waiting
Touch shadow and trust
For I am the wind
And the sparkling gold dust
