Erin and I have been paying close attention and Devin seems to be handling it well. He was pretty distraught yesterday. I don't know what the deal was with Dash wanting to be on the ground going for our feet. It was like an accident waiting to happen. Aurora wasn't like that. She seemed to know how how dangerous it was.

You know, both birds couldn't have been more loved. We all interacted with them all the time. They were never in their cages, except if we were all away (which hasn't been often these past few months) or to roost at night.

We haven't had pets for quite a while. Last one was our Aunt's dog while she was in between living situations about 6 years ago. And we have the dog back, of course, after about a year.

As a kid, I had some cockatiels. But now as an adult, I have to say Conures are the best. I wouldn't know about full size parrots, but our Conures were so affectionate. They're smart and full of playful love.

One day, I would love take care of another Sun Conure. For the time being, I'm reconsidering whether birds are the best choice of pets. 🦜
