January was a wild time, going out to parties and making sure we were surrounded by all our friends, it was such good fun. We would stay out late at night and find ourselves staggering home in the early hours of the morning, hopping into bed and covering ourselves with the blankets so the morning sun would not bother us.

February came along and things started to slow down, not partying as much and getting immersed in our work. Paperwork piled high and head down. We made sure that all our needs were covered and we didn’t have to go out much at all

March saw the first signs that things were going to change and believe it or not I found myself starting to bake, hmm, I thought I am going to start putting on weight if this keeps up. Our Oven got a hammering and every day I seemed to be covered in flour

By April I was getting restless and looking for things to do that would keep me occupied, I was lucky in that I was still at work and my office was at home, so I could wander around the house in Track pants and t shirt quite nicely. Sometimes I wondered why I even bothered to cover my body, after all no one was going to come and visit

May saw a big change, baking was at full tilt, work had slowed down just a bit, I was definitely putting on weight and I was starting to look at all the walls of the house and thinking they could all do with an extra covering of paint

June was epic, four rooms had been painted and I was starting to look at what to do with the spare room. It was covered in this green paint that was just a tad bit ghastly and I wasn’t sure what color to paint this. The rest of the house was white except for the feature wall in the main bedroom.

July was getting cold and both Juan and I were starting to put extra coverings on to stay warm. We had the heaters going full bore and made sure that we didn’t let that chill get into our bones.

August and I had definitely put on weight, It was starting to get a little uncomfortable now, but I just couldn’t stop all the baking. Since all the rooms had now been painted all I could think about was making sure we covered all bases when it came to being fully stocked.

September saw us both doing extra work, still at home, because we were expecting the electricity bill to arrive and with all the extra Oven work and the heaters it was going to be massive, but we knew we had enough reserves to cover any additional expenses

October came and Christopher was born. This was a special moment for us as we had been preparing for this all year. Now he was here and neither of us really knew what to do, all we know is that October was a month we spent covered in Baby Powder.
