Can anyone guess what he was doing? Or know its' sculptor perhaps?
I haven't seen this sculpture before till I passed-by at the back of St. Paul's cathedral on my way to another bus stop fwe weeks back. Not usually my route as because of the bikathon that time, my usual street was cordoned off.
A plaque near it says, BECKET by Bainbridge Copnall 1973.
Wikipedia shows this sculptor was from Edward Bainbridge Copnall, a British sculptor and a painter, best known for his architectural and decorative sculptures featuring allegorical and religious subjects.
One such sculpture is of Thomas Becket in St. Paul's churchyard.
