After the OAU meetup, the attendees took pictures with the speakers and the latter took pictures with each other. Kay of 911 pictures took quality shots and you can attest to it from the pictures I have uploaded here. Also, our friends from CoinNewsExtra interviewed me, some of the speakers and the students. They also videoed the event and I can’t wait to watch the video when it is ready. Our friends on the Blockchain came around such as @samstickkz, @pearlumie, @kokooluwa. After the event, the Blockchain train moved from Ile-ife to Okitipupa in Ondo state for the next episode of the Blockchain Road Trip 1.0.
The next day was the Osustech meetup, we moved from our hotel to the school. The students were prepared to receive us. James Jr. of FlashCoins talked briefly with the students and gave out branded stickers to them. The students were amazed at his generosity and high sense of humor. @amec, an ambassador of Aergo, started with a topic on introduction to Blockchain and Cryptocurrency. He explained in details what each terms mean. @bookoons came up and asked questions, the winners got free Tee shirts from aeternity.
The next speaker was @anikys3reasure, a Blockchain enthusiast and a great hunter. She challenged the students not to look down on us as we were amongst us and looked like we were jobless. She encouraged them to be a part of the growing communities making use of Blockchain Technology. She introduced @steemit to them and talked also on @steemhunt. As a hunter, I learnt some new things about product hunting and review hunt. More shirts were given out to students who answered questions correctly. Emmanuel Jet from Aeternity came up after to discuss the opportunity on Dacade to earn free money while they learn more about Blockchain generally.
Mr. @daniel-otaniel rounded up the event by discussing further on Blockchain and the opportunities it is presenting to the youths. He talked about his journey and how Blockchain have helped made it easier, he also answered all the questions asked by the students. Ms @bookoons randomly gave out more aeternity Tee shirts to the students that wrote their names on the attendance list. Snacks and water were given out and Kay of 911 pictures snapped all the attendees. It was a great moment to sit and gist with Rebecca (@rebecaffl, the Blockchain Enterpreneur and fashionista).
After the event, The #BRT team took us out to eat our very own delicacy. I really appreciate the team of @barineka, @bookoons and @daniel-otaniel for bringing the knowledge of Blockchain and Cryptocurrency through a Road Trip to over 1000 students in all the 3 universities. While our leaders are calling us lazy, while our international friends are seeing us as internet fraudsters, some people are merging together to pass across knowledge and create time to help others make money. This may be the end of Blockchain Road Trip 1,0 but it is the beginning of the journey to Blockchain Road Trip 2.0, will you be there?
