Since when did you started caring so much about what people say? All these years, it’s the first time to see you care on what impression people may give you. It was like you were a girl who is in love with a guy and everything he says matters.
However, we both know that this is different. Since then, you’ve been too conscious of how you look and how you act in front of others. You were acting accordingly to what others wanted and it’s not just you.
It’s not only you, you were not alone. Many have become someone else just because of petty reasons. Reasons that may or may not had helped someone become better above the rest.
Just like them, the way you judge yourself is far worse than the intimidating words you have ever heard. It is actually you who dragged yourself into all these labyrinth of negativity.
I just want to say, you’re starting to lose yourself and you are becoming someone else. Though you may not be aware of it yet, you are gradually losing your confidence and you are getting afraid of rejection.
You are afraid that one day, everyone will get away from you or somebody will hate you like trash. You don’t want to feel like you are no one to them so you’re trying so hard just to fit in. You resorted in becoming all these because you thought of it as a solution.
So what if they dislike and can’t accept you? You don’t have to change just to fit in. You can become much more than this. You can become someone else. Someone who is proud to say, “I am nobody because I'm not anyone else”.
"Someone will always be prettier. Someone will always be smarter. Someone will always be younger. But they will never be you." - Kanye West
What do you think is the best way to avoid getting jealous? Is it a reason for you to change who you are?
