Hi everyone, it's another week of hive learners, and I welcome everyone to another edition of this week.
Kudos to everyone living by themselves out there,it's not easy with the little experience I had while struggling to have my first guitar, but man must not give up.
From start I wasn't the one that feed myself, I depend on my parents, it all continued till I gained admission, though I was well fed but there isn't enough to save.
Around 2019/2020, I started music school with the little I could save, that continued till I got to my fourth year in the varsity, I thought within me I need to get my personal guitar to improve my play.
I made enquiry and the exact one I want was fourth five thousand naira , I knew within me the only way to get this was to have an extra work that will bring extra income.
I asked around if I could get any casual work that will fetch me extra money and wouldn't affect my studies because my parents mustn't know about it.
The jobs offer I got were so tideous that I couldn't do it, so I had to continue with only my academics but my mind was fully on how to get my dream guitar, '' my first love'' as I do call it.
The semester passed and it was time for my industrial training I.T, I told my dad I would love to work with him in lagos from Ibadan, I wouldn't mind doing any work just to get it.
My Father being an Iron bender took me in as a casual to work under him. My dear brother and sisters,
it wasn't easy but I had to do it to fulfill my goal.
Please let's all try and appreciate and pray for our parents for bringing food to the table.
I started working which I was paid #2000 daily, I could remember how hard I worked morning and afternoon.
I would bend iron with my thin hands and break casting.
To cut it short,I worked there for about 4 months and I was able to even raise more than what I needed.
Well after then I left there and I headed back to Ibadan to start my industrial training but it was too late where I applied.
I decided to go back to school (Ogbomoso) to get the guitar as I have already contacted the seller, but I was called by one of our neighbors that runs a school to help him take subjects instead of just wasting my IT period.
I took it as an opportunity and started working there where I was paid #13,000 monthly.
During the process I was advised by a friend to get a guitar pedal, fairly used #8000 which I concured to the deal.
After collecting my last salary,I joyfully went back to school to get the guitar (new) which I tagged""MY FIRST LOVE'' and I also bought an effect pedal(fairly used) with it.
There's this excitement in me that arises whenever a get a glance of this guitar.
Sadly I already sold coz I got another one but it'll always be my first love and true because it was my hardly earn asset.
