Hi, dear Hivers
This week started slow with two big holidays: On September 7th Brazil celebrates its independence. On September 8th Sao Luis celebrates its foundation.
Ironically, this city was not founded by the Portuguese but by the French. It is now 409 years old.
I had no plans, other than staying home. I did not feel like doing anything, just sleep.
But then I said to myself, I can’t do this all week. I'm going to get depressed.
So, I asked my boyfriend to just go out walk by the beach and enjoy some coconut water.
Nothing fancy, nothing expensive. We took the bus and enjoyed the ride.
The day was sunny and we just walked and talked.
The coconut water was delicious!
At least we had a day of relaxation. It is easy to forget here that the whole world is upsidedown with Covid-19, terrorism, and bad presidents.
The beach is always a good therapy.
