Question
What morals did your parents passed down to you in your childhood?. How have these beliefs impacted your decisions as an adult?.
That's myself and mum.
The best asset to a home and the kids born into it is the presence of their parents or a good and qualty caregiver. Who will be ready to mould, care, raise, teach and nurture the kids in the proper way the should go. Many responsible parents are bound to put in their quality efforts into raising their kids making them to represent their families in the best possible ways in the society and the world at large.
Mothers majorly take these roles upon themselves making sure kids are well raised so as to represent the family image very well in the present or in the future when the parents might have gone. In my own case, being both the first born and a girl child, lots of morals were inculcated into me while growing up, which has helped me and made me the quality person i have turned to be now, i appreciate mum.
Contentment;
Contentment was a serious virtue and moral that was passed into me by my mother, im proud of all the efforts she made to make sure i became the personality i am today. My both parents had the intentions, desires and expectations that myself and my siblings become the best behaved kids in our extended family and in the neighborhood. Alongside memory lane, i remember she will always talk about contentment. It was her watch word.
She taught me to earnestly pray and depend totally on God to answer my prayers and favour me with whatever i needed. Contentment she passed on to me made me not to be coveteous or greedy on someone else's things, no matter how expensive or attractive whatever it could be. Contentment pushed me into being independent and very optimistic.
It became a belief system that led me into having a very strong faith in God and his words. I keep believing things i prayed about will come to me as a favour or as a hard work sent by God to me. I do not covate people's things, im very content about whatever i have. When i see people's belongings i only appreciate them and pray to get mine. It's been happening like that. I'm comfortable with whatever things that i have.
Contentment made me love what i have and have the boldness that I'm ok, anyway, anytime saying the truth about situations even in the face of negativity, i stand firm .I always see mum praying to God for and about all she needed, i learned that too.
Mothers are precious jewels in families to everyone. More especially for the kids born in the family. I do not know what our homes, our kids would have been without the teachable spirit, caring and nuturing attitudes of our beloved mothers in our homes.
