Brazil is one of the countries where the Amazon rainforest grows. Regardless of your climate change beliefs, logging and deforestation affect the world. The amazon hosts a wide variety of life forms and provides a living for thousands and thousands of natives, both in Brazil and in neighboring countries.

Our current president rose into power with huge support from the big players of the logging, agriculture, mining, and livestock industries. Those industries need the amazon soil to profit, each exploiting nature in their own way. They chose Bolsonaro (Brazilian president) as their candidate as an investment, and it did pay off.

Every since Bolsonaro took office in Brazil, deforestation has been rising, inspection and control agencies have been losing budget and as a result, illegal activity has been growing. The illegal activity in Amazon not only destroyes the native land, but also literally kills people. The amazon hosts many native tribes that live in the jungle, the natives naturally want to protect their home, but to do so they have to literally fight wars against the illegal industries. The industry has big guns, which makes it an unfair fight.

With this in sight, an international organization of people are getting together to denounce those crimes. They claim that crimes against nature are crimes against humanity.
