CHRONICLES OF A MAN.

EPISODE 3.

Let me begin this episode by saying that i am a complete and utter disbeliever in fate bringing two lovers together. The odds that you might meet your dream girl or your dream friend during your time on earth is very large. Although such odd can be reduced by our reckless and trivial day to day activities. It was on such occasion that a guy named Sam approached me. He was heavily built with a height of about six feet, and was in the company of two other hoodlums. He stared at me at first in a hard searching stare. He examined my complexion, the shape of my ears and even the colour of my clothes like any farmer will look at a cattle he is thinking of buying. I saw the blood rise faintly in his face and the words he uttered sent a chill down my spine. "STAY AWAY FROM DEBORAH OR YOU WON'T LIVE TO SEE THE END OF THE SEMESTER".
Now that i have my mind cleared of it's frivolity, staying away from Debby would have been the right thing to do. But of course I didn't, I walked right into trouble knowing fully well that Sam was a sturdy member of the 'aye' confraternity on campus.
The next day, i searched for Debby in our usual spots and hangout joints but i could not find her. I decided to go to her apartment where i found her crying on top her bed. I was going to tell her about my encounter with Sam the previous night, but i decided to hear her own side of the story first. She told me that she was pregnant and that i was responsible. The news sent another chill down my spine and for the very first time in our relationship, the thought of leaving her crossed my mind. I valiantly refused to succumb to such thoughts and decided to take responsibility for my actions. We were going to have the baby and i was going to be a father.
We begged our parents for their approval and consent to a marriage that will be held immediately I am done with my schooling. Everything was going to be okay as long as i dont get thrown out of school before my graduation. We even devoted some of our leisure time to study and we were doing alright. But the thought of Sam and his notorious gang reminded me that there was a storm coming and i needed to make shade if i was ever going to survive the semester.
