English Version
Today was a gaming day that deserves a post, so here鈥檚 my daily report from Gods Unchained! The highlight this time was an exciting comeback victory using my Light Deck, built in the Midrange style despite not having a deep experience or understanding of its archetypes. This type of deck is great for those who want to control the field without having to play overly aggressively or fully defensively. My version focuses on carefully selected creatures, especially those with Frontline abilities and a touch of healing.
Deck used:
To start, I chose a handful of creatures with Frontline. This was key to keeping my low-health creatures safe on the field for longer.
By the way, you know how Frontline is essential for Light decks, right? It provides that extra security to build up the strategy calmly because, in Midrange, time is our ally. Every turn is a chance to place another useful card and leap towards victory.
The star of the day was The Nemean Lion (2/3), who turned out to be a potential beast thanks to its ability to gain +1/+1 each time a creature with Roar enters my side of the board.
This lion is a clever card, and if you have several creatures with Roar, he simply explodes in power. I felt like I was almost commanding a troop, strategically summoning creatures with Roar so The Nemean Lion could grow stronger and stronger. That鈥檚 why I decided to hold onto him early on.
After Nemean Lion, Radiant Spirit (4/4) was my support and healing card. This creature is especially good because, at the end of each turn, it heals 2 health points of a random friendly character on my side. The idea with him was to heal my most injured creatures and keep them on the board, which is essential for maintaining a more solid field. This kind of self-healing makes a difference in long matches because it builds up a resistance that can wear down the opponent. Of course, an important detail here was the balance I tried to maintain.
I couldn鈥檛 fill the field with creatures.
Or his effect would be too spread out and lose impact. So, I adjusted the number of creatures, keeping only what was necessary for Radiant Spirit to do his job without wasting his healing power.
On the enemy鈥檚 side, one creature caught my attention: Mire Bloodworm (1/4).
This is because, besides having Frontline, it heals itself with each attack, meaning it doesn鈥檛 need to rely on Leech to stay alive. Even though the opponent didn鈥檛 have cards to boost its attack, since it heals exactly 1 point.
Now, here鈥檚 an interesting thing.
Although I didn鈥檛 use certain cards that would typically be a big advantage, like Asterius, Glittering One, they stayed in the deck, ready in case the match dragged on and I needed a heavy hitter. Even though I didn鈥檛 draw these cards this time, I still think keeping them in the deck is a safety strategy. After all, in Gods Unchained, you never know when the opponent might turn the game around and hold out for a few more turns.
Reflecting on this match, I think the only change I would make to the deck would be to swap out some Backline creatures, like Flamecaller. As interesting as it is, I realized that my Midrange style calls for a bit more healing support, so maybe I鈥檒l replace this type of creature with another that has support abilities.
With Frontline creatures to absorb damage, The Nemean Lion growing more threatening with each Roar creature summoned, and constant healing to reinforce the base, I managed to keep control and force my opponent to exhaust themselves trying to break through my defense, even against a Death Deck.
Of course, each time I learn something new, adjust a card here and there, but in the end, that鈥檚 what keeps the game interesting.

馃摑 Vers茫o em Portugu锚s
Eles garantem aquela seguran莽a extra para ir montando a estrat茅gia com calma, porque, no caso do Midrange, o tempo 茅 nosso aliado.
No campo advers谩rio, uma criatura me chamou a aten莽茫o: Mire Bloodworm (1/4).
