We were once again out most of the day attending a relative's house blessing party. We got to see cousins whom we hadn't met for a while and as expected, there was loads of teasing (mostly naughty) and laughter over drinking and what else.
Amongst those present, 3 of us (first cousins) had no children, only fur babies. So even our pets were introduced to each other because as one of my first cousins put it, our fur kids are now second cousins so it's just right to let them meet.😂
Unfortunately, the fun was cut off, at least for us and our little guy, because we left early at around 4 pm due to an appointment at the farm store.
But yes, our souls were nourished and filled with bliss. Those moments, although they don't happen often, are deeply appreciated and will always be remembered.
The above photos, by the way, were captured while we were leaving the party venue. I was fascinated by the pomegranate tree I had to take some snapshots of it.
Anyhow, it's Saturday and as usual, it's time for the weekly update in terms of our progress here on the blockchain. And something got me grinning in the morning:
Did it just happen like that?
Well... almost, lol! I was about to do my daily staking this morning when I noticed the first four digits (1919...) so why not make them interesting? My thoughts can be weird at times.😅
After a quick calculation, I powered up 2.816 HIVE, bringing my total Hive Power to 19,199.199😅
Last week's staked HIVE was 19k, which means 199.199 HP was added in the past seven days - 27 from curation, 137 from posts rewards, and the others from my daily manual staking. This probably is the highest in terms of HP increase in one week this year.
Meanwhile, my Leo Power is currently 29,666, with just 26 LEO added from last week's 29,640 LP.
I intentionally paused locking up (staking) LEO and swapped most of the liquid to ETH (via Leodex). It might have been a good move because Ether's price is now above $3k, although I am not planning on selling it yet since I have already staked on another protocol to increase my eligibility chances for airdrops.
Now at 884 with only 10 added during the week. I took advantage of the dip and bought some HIVE for around 27-30 cents when HBD's price pumped. I wished I had more liquid when it happened because those chances are rare. It's okay though, at least I did not totally miss the opportunity.
Overall, it has been a great week on the blockchain and yes, IRL too. I'm grateful as always.🙏
