A wee teddy with a Santa hat peeking out of a holiday stocking is the only early Christmas decor we have in DD. It has been hanging on the shelf wall for months now, waiting for some goodies.馃榿
I wonder if it gets anything soon or on Christmas Day, but it will stay where it is because I love using it as the immediate holder for the LilGuy's leash or shirt whenever we come home from a drive馃榿
The hubby had been asking me to buy Christmas lights so we could install them along the driveway and on our bodega's wall, but I always forget (intentional amnesia). Maybe because I didn't want our lil place to be sparkling every night, attracting bugs, pests, and what else.
Here in BC, there isn't any holiday thingy. Not a single festive decor yet. "Oh well, it's still October, what's the rush?" The voice in my head butted in immediately, sounding a bit defensive as if someone was questioning its intentions, LOL!
Looking around, I did find a printed paper cup with bearded Santa and things.
That counts, yeah?
Kidding aside, I might have the excitement to put up some real things before the season comes, but not today or sooner. Not when the lil menace's energy is this high.馃槄
He is unusually hyper this morning, jumping over things, climbing up the table, growling at the sound of footsteps, and yep, destroying his tiny plushie toy. I guess it's his way of revenge for being left home alone for 16 hours yesterday. First time ever! We didn't take him with us considering our itinerary.
He didn't wreck havoc then, keeping our lil abode tidy and clean when we came home at 1 am. But now, he is getting back at us. But it's okay. I'm just glad he seems to be quickly adjusting to becoming more independent. Recent circumstances made us realize that we can't always take him with us.
Anyway, we'd be couch potatoes today. Might even crawl under the sheets for more snooze. Time to refuel or the body complains馃榿
