Magandang buhay💛
Contrary to yesterday's forecast, today, albeit breezy, is sunny, yay! So the morning walk resumed. Feet happy!
Anyway, it was three years ago (not today, but 3 days later, 28th June 2023), when we first visited this place I now call DD. Aahhh... Some nostalgia is setting in.
While we were positive it would be ours one day, we didn't think it would happen much, much sooner. But life has its way of surprising us when we least expect it (so we must be receptive at all times).
And so we came again a year later (June 2024), not for another visit, but to stay, to get to know it, explore and walk along its plains and curves. Much has changed since then, not only in the place (the bananas are now gone, the grassy land is now growing peppers robustly, the bodega has been transformed as our homey home, etcetera), but also in our way of life.
At first, I thought we would be here just temporarily (10 months or 12, maybe). Two years passed (quite hard to believe the months went by that quickly), and here we are, yet to really explore most of its nooks and crannies, but still enjoying the peace, abundance, and everything it provides, while navigating the challenges it poses.
DD has become our third home in a little more than seven years.
Realizing this, I wonder where (or what) the months or years ahead will bring us. I'm quite excited.
But yes, DD has birthed new goals, dreams, and such. They inspire each waking hour, giving us drive, courage, and strength to forge forward while appreciating the here and now.
Meanwhile, we learned that the drone, which had been flying above us, was from the town's Engineering office. It was said that they are using it for land or topographical mapping and cadastral surveying. I thought the operator must be a bit of a joker; he teases at times.😁
