That in a Criminal Proceedings, after the prosecution has concluded his case, the next thing is for the Defence to open his own case.
He has three options open to him.
The Defence may decide to rest his case on that of the prosecution without calling witnesses.
He may decide to enter his own defense and call in witnesses to prove his case.
Finally, He may decide to enter a no case submission. Contending that the materials made available by the prosecution present ‘no case’ requiring him to make any defence.
