▲ ▲ ▲ My Summer 2017: Crimean Mountains Are Completely Awesome

In my first post, I want to share with you impressions from my summer vacations in Crimea.
Just amazing photos and brief stories.

Firstly, I should say that every time I travel to somewhere, I mostly pay attention on mountains instead of the seacoast :D In other words, hiking in mountains is my passion. Active lifestyle is the best!

Mountains in Crimea are not so tall (the highest mount Roman-Kosh is just 45 m above the 1500 meters mark), but very beautiful and have their own unique traits.

From the nothern-east cost of the whole demi-island Crimea Mountains begin to grow moving to the west and gain their height somewhere in the middle, near the Alushta, Yalta and Haspra resorts. I traveled a lot in my summer vacation and see that with my own eyes.

That begins like a marsian hills near the Feodosia city.

Moving twenty kilometers to the west hills grow higher and some bushes and trees appear on the slopes.

It lasts at least for 30 km to the west. Finally, near the Sudak resort some crags appear:

However, the real mountines meet us only near the Alushta resort. First place I visited was Demerji mountain:

The air in mountines is fresh and pure. When it is real heat on the coast, on the top it s five degrees colder and sometimes it can be rather windy. All the way up you're accompanied by the aroma of the mountain herbs and flowers. Thats indescribable thing :-)

The most amazing thing about this mountain that after the steep climb up you come across the mount meadow, Aila on Crimean. Thats incredible!

I spent 4 hours on way up and 3 hours on way down :O At the end of the day I was completely tired and ... happy.
That was an amazing walk.

Second mount I climbed up was Ai-Petri near the Yalta resort. It is more popular for tourists and it even has cableway transport for anyone who wants to climb on the top without any difficulties.

Crimean canyon is situated nearby. It's 320 meters deep and 3.5 km long.

There is a rope bridge from one side to another

On the bottom of the rift small river flows. It's surprisingly cold. Even in summer heat the temperature of its water doesnt exceed 10 C. Thats because the river originates from an underground source.

The water has its own slight blue tone due to mineral composition

Finally, after 7 kilometers going against the stream I face the swallow hole called Tub of Youth.

It's approximately two meters in depth. Impressive.

So, would I return to Crimea on the next summer? Yes, and one more time yes!
I should say, that I haven't visited a half of the places I wanted to visit. Crimea is an awesome place!
