When we pray we should do that with a pure heart. The bible also says that faith is useless and without faith we cannot just please God.

We must not accumulate all those evil thoughts in our mind when we go to God in prayer because it is not good as believers. God will not listen to us. Holiness and purity is one of the prerequisites for us to keep our hearts clean when we are going to God.
Our heart must be clean. God hates sin and has told us that the prayer of the sinner is like a filthy rag. Prayer should not be made after that of a hypocrite. We must live a life that pleases God, so that He can answer our prayer and give us the life that we want to live, which is a fulfilled life.
