Approaching God with a humble and sincere heart is very important and also coming to Him with a reverence is very good and important also. During prayer we don't have to keep repeating words over and over, let us learn how to go straight to the point while praying. Jesus already gave us a way which we should pray. During prayer we should thank God for what He have done for us, ask for his forgiveness because we are all sinner. This shows that prayer is primarily about building a sincere relationship with God and depending on Him rather than simply presenting a list of personal desires.
Prayer is accompanied with clean heart, God hears us more when we approach Him with a good heart. Christians are encouraged to bring their concerns and needs before God while trusting in His wisdom and power. Proper way of prayer is coming to our creator to ask for forgiveness anytime we feel like we are no longer in accordance with his will or commandments.
