You step up to the pedestal and you hear a click on the box as it opened. It exposed slightly the internal Alien artifact that was within. You place the box on the ground and it unfolded to reveal a cubed-shaped object that matches the shape on the pedestal itself.
You place the alien artifact on the pedestal and nothing happened. You picked it up again and realize there are markings on the flat part of the pedestal and the artifact that appear to match. You flip the artifact over and place it again down on the pedestal.
That seemed to have done the trick as a giant flash of light poured out of the object in the middle of the room. The rings around that object started to spin with great speed. All the computer monitors in the room started to display all kinds of information that you had no idea how to read.
The rings around the object started to pick up speed as well. There was this giant winding sound of coils that seemed to come in patterns of.--. --- .-. - .- .-.. that repeated over and over again.
After looking at all the computer screens for quite some time and learning nothing at all. You decided to take a closer look at the device itself. Despite how dangerous it looked there was no protective shielding around it to keep you from just walking right up to it.
The rings themselves appeared to be quite smooth. You could not make out what kind of metal they were. There seemed to be no noticeable symbols on the rings or the device itself.
After a while, the rings seemed to have stopped picking up speed as they now looked like a solid sphere around the energy ball within. That is when you noticed there was a slight vibration within the floor. The temperature of the room was also increasing at a somewhat alarming rate.
You walked all around the device. It looked the same from every direction. That was till suddenly the giant ball of light in the middle of it started to move to the back end of the room. Where there was a wide open space that seemed to have been set up just for it.
As you stepped close to the ball of light to see if there was anything you could glean from it. Your hand accidentally touched it. You felt an extremely violent shocking sensation through every bone you had. The entire room than vanished from view.
