You have no idea how long you passed out. It could have been hours, days, or even weeks. All you do know is it sure felt like a being like yourself was not meant to go near that ball of light. You also realized that you could not find your flashlight. Thankfully the light on your wristwatch flicked on so you used that light source in an attempt to find the flashlight.
You however quickly realized that would be a bit of a waste of time. This was not the room you were just in. You were teleported elsewhere in the universe. This room did not have the same device in it. There was nothing in the room you found yourself in.
You quickly went up to the door and it opened on its own. As the door opened your jaw dropped as you realized you were on some kind of icy planet. It also happened to be a blizzard at the time. You could barely see beyond your nose. You quickly backed away from the door and it shut again.
Thankfully the icy chill that entered the room you were in when you opened the door vanished almost instantly. The snow that came in also melted away. This was not how you were expecting your day to go.
You felt rather hopeless. You were trapped in some kind of small room. Your ship who knows was that even is. You did not even have your space suit with you which might have come in handy when trying to cross a planet this cold.
Every once in a while you would gain enough courage to open the door once again and take a look outside. This went on for many days as it seemed this blizzard was never going to let up. Thankfully you had started your adventure with almost a week’s worth of supplies. That ended up coming in handier than you could have expected.
Almost four days went by of checking every few hours to see if the blizzard had passed. At this point, you were rather a losing hope. After the blizzard had ended what were you going to do next anyways?
At least the room you were in was nice and warm. It was sometimes nice to open the door to the outside world on occasion just to clear the room out as it was starting to get a rather stuffy feeling at times.
Thankfully by the fifth day, the blizzard had cleared. You opened the door and were shocked at what you witnessed. Your ship could not have been more than 100 feet away from the room you were in.
At first, you thought you had finally gone crazy. That was not possible or was it? You even closed the door and decided maybe you just needed more rest. Yes, that must be it.
After waking up sometime later you opened the door again. As before the blizzard was far gone and yet there was your ship waiting for you. At this point, you felt you had nothing else to lose you made a mad dash for the ship.
It was so cold outside. Even the short run to the ship felt like a thousand daggers made out of ice were stabbing you in every direction. You just kept putting one foot in front of the other till you made it up to your ship. The ramp door opened and you ran inside.
What an insane turn of events. You walked up to the main helm of the ship to see how this was even possible. It turns out the computer on the ship was still able to track you through your wristwatch. Although you were quite far away from the ship. Shortly after you disappeared the probe that was sent to I-IIK-9844 reestablished a link with the computer. It includes a report of it detecting your wristwatch.
The computer then realized that it could not work out how. That you must have made it to that Ice planet and the energy spike in the cave that it detected must have played some role in it although that is purely speculation on its behalf. The computer then waited another day trying to send you a single to inform you it was about to leave the moon U-877 before it took off into space after you.
The ship took almost a week to get to you. It turns out it barely escaped from the moon since that thruster was damaged. It might not have even been possible with you onboard as it was quite a close call.
At this point, this was all just too much to take in. You at least got to put on some new clothing and found some winter gear that was in storage as well to make this planet a little more bearable.
You decided to leave the ship and take a bit of a look around. To your shock, the box as you called it that you were staying at was nowhere to be seen. It’s like it just vanished into the ice or something. There were mountains all around you and lots of possible locations to go out and check.
After a while, you could feel the cold slowly seeping into your soul. It was time to go back inside the ship. Perhaps you could drink something nice and warm and heat up for a while. This would require some thinking of what to do next.
After you had made it back to the ship for some time. An alert had come up on the computer that it had found it. The resource you were looking for this entire time was somewhere on this planet-- Golden Paradox 384. Where it was coming from was however unknown. The computer seemed to be rather puzzled about its location of it while it was trying to pinpoint its exact location.
