It was a hot afternoon. Harry came back from school feeling famished. He dropped his school bag and head straight to tht kitchen. There, he saw about three plates all covered with their lids. Gently, he opened the first one and found nothing. He proceeded to the second one and found nothing too. He then looked worried and proceeded to open the third and last one. There he saw porridge yam and intuitively he knew that it was actually kept for him.
He then took it to his room and started consuming it slowly. Then something struck him as he intermittently slowed down to have a look at the wordings on the lid. "Shrink me", they wrote. He was then taken aback.
But a silent voice within him softly whispered to him that 'some words are better read than pronounced'. That voice repeated that phrase several times. But out of curiosity Harry decided to say it aloud 'shrink me" and in a flash of light Harry could see himself transported to another realm of life with patches of forests and green carpet grasses around him.
He started seeing how ants go about their daily businesses unperturbed. How birds pick their foods which has hitherto looked insignificant to him. He then realized that he is now in the same cadre with those animals. He has reduced in height and size too. That was what the magical words on the lid could do. Surprisingly, the lid was still in his right hand.
Harry observed how beautiful and serene the animal world could be. No chaos and drama as is the case with the world of humans. And having seen all, Harry slowly said "bring me back" and in a flash he started growing back both in height and size.
Soon he found himself in the room where it all began. From that day, Harry realized that the lid has some extraterrestrial powers and should be handled with care.
