FIELD REPORT FROM THE FRONTIER

Dearest Family,
I made it.
The journey across the perimeter was long, but I’ve officially set up camp on the edge of the frontier.
It’s... different out here. The air has this strange, metallic tang to it—almost like ozone mixed with
burnt pine and damp earth. It smells weird, honestly, but the locals say that’s just the raw magic
bleeding out of the wild untamed lands beyond the border. I’m getting used to it slowly.
As for the food? Let’s just say I miss home cooking already. Dinner tonight was some kind of dried,
salted ridge-boar and hardtack soaked in a broth that tasted mostly of black pepper and iron. It fills
the stomach, but it certainly won't be winning any awards back at the hub!
Other than that, I’m doing okay and keeping my head clear. I’ll be hitting the main Arena tonight for
my first official skirmish out here. I need to test how the local battlefield conditions affect card
resonance before we push deeper into the region.
Word is spreading fast about what’s lurking further out in the uncharted zones. I’ve heard rumors of
four great legendary winged beasts roaming the high peaks and volcanic rifts nearby. If the Arena
Vanguard is going to hold this line and expand, we are going to need serious air support. Starting
tomorrow, I’m going to start sending out direct missives—calling out to four ancient dragons known
to slumber across these ridges. If I can forge an alliance or summon their aid, it will change
everything for our next push.
Save a warm meal for me back home. I’ll write again after tonight’s battle.
Yours in strength,
Jolius
