To begin with, I always try to capture unique photos along the way through the Havana avenues toward our destination. A bit of heritage treasure like the majestic Capitolio and, well, a sculpture of a woman's face, almost 2 meters tall in metal, looking toward the Malecón area.

Para comenzar, siempre trato de captar fotos únicas del camino por las avenidas habaneras hacia nuestro destino. Un poco de joya patrimonial como el Capitolio majestuoso y bueno una escultura rostro de mujer, con casi de 2 metros de alto en metal mirando la zona malecón.

The palace combines the codes of architectural rationalism with elements of Cuban colonial architecture. It was a restored barracks, originally built in 1764. The day I visited, there was a retrospective exhibition by Manuel Mendive, a great interpreter of the Island, titled "Pan con guayaba, una vida feliz" (Bread with Guava, a Happy Life), featuring African religious items.

The following rooms show exhibitions of paintings and sculptures that are divided into large adjoining halls according to the different artists. They have very good lighting in most of the spaces, as well as an air conditioning system, something that is greatly appreciated due to the high temperatures of our island.
This room from after the revolutionary triumph offers a variety of modern paintings, with traits of Cuban identity, which can be observed calmly and without rushing. It offers guided tours in both English and Spanish, for those who love the history of each specific painting.

Many of the works come from revolutionary eras and martyrs of the homeland. I will tell you that if you come in a hurry, it's better not to enter the museum, because it took me about an hour to go through each of its rooms and spaces dedicated to Cuban art.

Currently, the work of artists in Cuba is not highly valued, which is why they emigrate to seek their fortune outside the island, but it is said that there is nothing better than the culture and art in a city, since this can say a lot about it, about how it develops.

Este lugar representa un increíble patrimonio para el país, pues está encargado de promover y conservar todas estas obras plásticas antiguas, de mucho valor artístico.
Algunas salas cuentan con 50 metros de obras a sus alrededores, lo mismo puedes ver imaginaciones imposibles de descifrar, que de amor, política, guerra, figuras históricas entre otras creaciones y esculturas.
These last rooms from after 1959 belong to young intellectuals who express their feelings through their hands. In the background, the oil paintings are worked with traits from expressionism, pop art, and folk art.
The truth is they are quite creative, like the large painting "Recibido en mal estado" (Received in Bad Condition) with ancient writings, religions, and eclectic elements within the heart.
Estas últimas salas posterior al 1959, son de jóvenes intelectuales que expresan su sentir mediante sus manos. En el fondo los cuadros sobre Óleo son trabajados con rasgos procedentes del expresionismo, el pop y el arte popular.
La verdad son bastante creativos, como el cuadro grande "Recibido en mal estado" con escritos antiguos, religiones y eclécticos dentro del corazón.

It is really very well organized; at the entrance of each room there is an information card about the artists. Since it is so large and contains so many spaces, there are polished wooden benches everywhere for visitors to sit and take a break.
It is a very quiet atmosphere, where each visitor immerses themselves in the world of Cuban art; therefore, it is quite silent. All the rooms have specialists and guards. If any doubt arises or an explanation is needed, the specialists in each room explain without any problem.
Realmente esta muy bien organizado, en las entradas de cada sala hay una ficha de los artistas, al ser tan grande y contener tantos espacios hay por todas partes bancos de madera pulida para que los visitantes se sienten y tomen un descanso.
Es un ambiente muy tranquilo, donde cada visitante se sumerge en el mundo de las arte de cubanas, por lo tanto, es bastante silencioso, todas las salas tienen especialistas y guardias. Si surge alguna duda o se requiere alguna explicación los especialistas de cada sala, explican sin problemas.
