Hi Steemians, sharing with you today a charcoal portrait of a young girl. Using pastels on colored paper makes the tones easier to create. A colored paper is the mid tone, black pastel for the darkest tones and a white pastel for the highlights. I like the way the light captures her face and the simplicity of it. It took about an hour to do.
