Weekend Freewrite -10/26/2019 - Single Prompt Option
All photos featured here are from my personal collection
I've been meaning to write daily freewrite exercises, but as of late, have little or no energy left to think creatively on what to share. I know, no lame excuses. LOL _ I simply promise to do my very best each day. However, I would like to take advantage of the weekend break to write on missed prompts.
Let me take you back to the time my daughter and I experienced a harbor cruise for the first time. This was for a rare occasion that I attended a Christmas party some years back.
It was a rainy afternoon that we were afraid the cruise would be cancelled. However, at the last minute, the sky cleared and the dinner cruise pushed through. It was also the first time we were to board a yacht that went around the Manila Bay harbor.
Being one of the early birds, we excitedly boarded the yacht. That gave us ample time to look around and take some photos. It looked like a small yacht, but it seemed bigger on the inside. Let me take you on a visual tour.
Inside the main deck, you can find more seating areas. Since we were early, the place wasn't packed yet. It was great for taking photos. We spotted what looked like a staircase going down some bottom floor and went to explore a bit. True enough, we found around two cabins with twin beds. Amazing, huh?
Back outside the main deck was the buffet table where food will be served later in the evening. Mmm the dishes were yummy. That was all I remember. LOL!
We went up the upper deck where the tables were set. The view was truly lovely. It's a good thing the rain did not get in the way of this lovely cruise experience.
It was nearing sunset that time. Manila Bay is well known for its picture perfect sunset. I simply took as many photos as possible to capture the beauty of the view in front of us.
We were pulling out of the harbor and the surrounding view was captivating. It was refreshing to see the view from this side on a yacht.
Sunset sky. I just loved it! There are no words enough to describe the beauty one feels when one sees the beauty of nature.
Loved the reflection shown on the above photo. I'm glad I captured it before darkness fell. The next photos would show the night scene witnessed during our harbor cruise. This was at a nearby mall that had fireworks display at a specified time of the night. Our dinner cruise coincided with the schedule of the fireworks so we got to see it from the yacht.
I even captured a photo of the moon that night. Awoooo...
Overall, it was a fun and memorable night. We went home satisfied. Naturally, we remembered to have our photo taken. I hope you liked my story. Till our next adventure... _
