Our school started a project where we have to make porridge every day because it is a government requirement. The government provides the rice, and we are responsible for cooking it.
On Tuesday at 5 PM, our teacher sent a message to our group chat, telling us to bring ingredients and a pot for cooking the porridge.
When Wednesday came, we didn't brought anything. Because of this, ma'am decided that we should go to the market to buy the ingredients .
She gave us money to buy what we need for porridge. We also needed a pot, so we asked one of our classmates to go home and bring a pot.
Ingredients We Used:
- Onion leaves
- Carrot
- Egg
- Chicken
- Ginger
- Seasonings
Since we didn’t have a chopping board, we used a piece of wood to cut the ingredients. We clean it before we use it, because we don't have an option to use it.
First, we cooked the rice using the pot. While waiting for the rice to cook, I look around the place and admire the beauty of the trees and leaves.
When the rice is cooked , we stirred it to make sure it was evenly cooked. After that, we add the seasonings and ingredients to make it delicious.
When we finished cooking, we noticed there was more Porridge, so we decided to give it with other students on campus. Some students were shy to ask for porridge, but we insisted on giving it to them so it wouldn’t go to waste.
We felt very happy when all the porridge was gone.
