Age is only a number, they say.

Honestly, age is not only a number. It does tells me a few stuffs. In fact, it does tell me a whole lot of stuff. It tells me that my energy level is decreasing. A Jadeline who could work non-stop for 12-15 hours a day, now sees another Jadeline who works non-stop for 5 hours and needs a 15-minute break for coffee or just-to-breathe, and then continue working. The me last time who loved fast pace life, now prefers slow mode. The slower, the better. But, the hard reality is time waits for no one. You have to keep going sometimes.

What my husband said is right. I need to get back to building my stamina. Those times, I could hike without panting. Now, I pant when I run a little faster. Plus, the lockdown for almost 2 years didn't help alot. I had been potato-couching.

We gotto start somewhere. My friend and I decided to plan more activities together with our children. They have the most energy, don't they? They play whole day and they want to play somemore.

To the themepark...

We went there to spend our energy. To be precise, to spend their energies. It was a pay-and-play-whole-day type of ticket entrance from 12pm-8pm. Initially, my friend and I thought the children couldn't last for 8 hours. Mind we were wrong. So wrong.

See.... They were all hyped!

They literally played non-stop, from trains, to carousel, to bumper car (manyyyyyy times), to quick snack, to playground, to roller coaster, rock climbing, VR, pirate ship, running game, crazy bus and more. I was also flat-ted like a pancake, but I told myself to keep going. Lucky me, I didn't feel dizzy after roller coaster and the spinning chair game.

Perhaps, I wanted to feel young again. And I did feel younger in the midst of them. So much talking and laughter.
My friend's youngest son had the most energy. There was a one-hour break for us to drink and eat, he rather continued his bumper car. He queued and played and repeated for 15 times, maybe even more. We lost count.

At the end of the last minute before the theme park closed only the children were willing to let go. We took photo with the youngest one with half-eye close, half opened. Lol. He still wanted to play something else, maybe arcade or some sort. But it was 8pm. Time for dinner.

So, tell me, where do the kids get their energy from? At the dinner, the kids continued to talk, the parents were exceptionally quiet. 馃槀
