A month ago, I wrote my January goals in my journal. I wanted to keep them secret at first before sharing them, so I wouldn’t feel too much pressure. January taught me different lessons, and I liked using that term because I experienced multiple failures. You wouldn’t believe that I almost didn’t achieve the list because of unpredictable situations. Nevertheless, this failure gave me more freedom to start over and tweak my goals to manage expectations.
Unfortunately, I failed to achieve this goal in January. Maybe I set this amount because the seller boosted my video and it went semi-viral. I was happy during my first week since I was able to sell 20 items in just one day with ₱20–₱50 commissions. However, the product sold out after two months of continuous promotion. Personally, I didn’t even expect to reach halfway to my goal. Thankfully, I still got a few orders from the earphones I promoted, as the seller also boosted them. Almost earning ₱500 within a month in the competitive world of TikTok is already good.
Although I didn’t accomplish this goal, I’m glad that some of my videos got a few engagements. I’m also becoming more fluent when speaking in front of viewers. As much as possible, I don’t want to do hard selling since I’m not a fan of it. My main strategy in selecting products is choosing those that are new to the market or aren’t trending yet. I also choose products that I can market in different ways. This helps me formulate the right strategy and positioning since I can create videos from various angles. So far, I’m glad that I’ve finally gotten ROI from two products. My main goal now is to stay consistent in posting.
I didn’t mean to earn that amount in just one month. I haven’t withdrawn my earnings yet since I restarted last November 2025. I had a small goal, but it was already big for me which is to earn 25 HBD this January. Take note that I started with 15 HBD. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with myself because I didn’t achieve it. From now on, I’ve learned to write here just for fun. Maybe I can read more posts to gain engagement. I also promised myself not to pressure myself to write just because of quotas or anything like that.
Yes, I achieved this and published 16 articles. That’s a big win for me since I only write when I go out of the house or when there are interesting prompts to join. I also write when I have something on my mind that I want to express, like what I often post here. I decided to post less frequently since I’m going to prioritize more important things. I’ll still be active, but not as much as before.
Yes, I successfully started this. I’m currently using an app called Lemoneyd to track my overall expenses. This app helps me monitor how I spend throughout the month. As mentioned in this article, I’m currently taking loans to manage my finances wisely. Since I rely only on side hustles, I make sure I have multiple options to fund myself. I’m glad that I have enough funds to pay my monthly loan. I just hope I can reach the minimum withdrawal on the two survey platforms I’m currently using.
My First Active YT Channel
I only published one long-form YouTube video, and the result disappointed me. That’s why I restarted with a different channel in another niche, which seems more promising. The only thing I liked about my first channel was that it didn’t lead to burnout. It’s just hard to write, edit, and strategize videos on your own. I also struggled with copyright issues since I focused on music commentaries.
My Second Active YT Channel
With this adjustment, I shifted from long-form to short-form content. It’s much easier to do, and I make sure I enjoy what I’m creating. My second channel is about dogs since I love watching puppy videos. To make it monetizable, I ensure it has heavy editing and commentary. I’m glad I was able to automate the script with minor edits. On top of that, I have two upcoming channels since I know I can post more often. I also plan to do Facebook automation as part of my content creation journey. That’s why I already expect to be less active here and just write when something inspires me.
