Leg day is the most important day of a training regiment. "If you want to be a big tree, you have to have a strong trunk"

Everyone I know steers away from leg day, hell some people skip it all together!! Why would they skip it you might ask?

I'll tell you why....B/c its fucking hard and it wares you out. But I tell you what if you want to see gains in your chest or your biceps you better be damn willing to work those legs! Even if you stick to 3 basic lifts Squats, Leg Press and Lunges. 3 sets 12-15 reps you will see gains.

You cant be afraid or not want to do it b/c its hard. If bodybuilding were suppose to be easy... everyone would be doing it, we would all chiseled, rock-hard muscles. Unfortunately that's not the case, it takes sweat, blood, tears, perseverance and wanting something so bad you will do whatever it takes.

Most people tend to do leg day on Friday "to let their muscle rest over the weekend". Me on the other hand I like to do them on Monday. The moment you rest them you allow lactic acid to build up in the muscles causing aches and pains...they hurt. After every leg workout hop on the treadmill or elliptical for a mile or two. Allow yourself to help move the acid from settling in and causing pain.

A little pain is a good thing though, it means you worked out the muscle group and its tired. You will have to get to know your body to be able to differentiate between a "good hurt" and a "bad hurt".
