SHORT BIOGRAPHY
Hello, Hive! I'm "Hyundais*, and I'm 21. I am 5'8" tall and weigh 53 kg. I have tanned skin and black hair. I am from Caduawan, Tabogon, Cebu. My mother's name is Althea Sanchez and my father's name is Buddy Sanchez. I have 5 siblings: 4 girls and 1 boy. I graduated from Central 1 in the Alternative Learning System, located in Bogo City.
CHALLENGES I'VE ENCOUNTERED
The year 2015, I live in Barangay Castellano, Negros Occidental. At 7 am, my father bought food for us. My mother cooked breakfast for us. After a few minutes, I heard my mother's cellphone ringtone, and she answered the call. Then I was shocked and afraid when my mother shouted and ran away from us. She locked the door of her room.
My father came back to the house with our food. I told my father that our mother was having a problem. My father asked me why and what the problem was. Then I told him that people were trying to call our mother, and she answered the call. I don't know why she started shouting and ran away from us. My father, my siblings, and I went to the room to ask my mother why she was crying. She said that our grandpa had an accident in her car.
The accident happened in Balamban, Cebu City on January 1, 2016. It was very painful because our grandpa passed away at the age of 83 on New Year's Day. After that, my mother and father decided to go to Cebu to visit our grandpa's body. Then my father called my brother to update our whole family about our grandpa's passing. A few minutes later, our aunt told us that our grandpa had cancer, which was a secret he had hidden from us.
My mother asked why our grandpa hid his situation, and our aunt said that he didn't want to worry our family. We didn't expect that our grandpa had cancer. His body was badly burned, so our family decided to cremate him. By the way, he was a retired police colonel in Cebu City.
HOBBIES AND LIKE
First, I have been skateboarding since 2017 at Plaza Independencia, Cebu City. I love skateboarding because when I travel anywhere while riding my board, I have the chance to meet other skilled skateboarders.
Secondly, I like basketball, especially when I play with my friends, brother, or father. When we join the basketball league in our town, my brother is my teammate and my father is our coach.
Third, I love drawing and making slogans because when I'm bored at home, I draw everything and practice creating slogans. Slogan-making is my priority because I participate in contests at our school.
Fourth, I enjoy climbing to see the beauty of nature and take photos. Climbing is one of my favorite hobbies and I love playing music to relax in the fresh air. Fifth, I like writing. I enjoy writing songs and rhyming words, and I can create a simple beat.
Lastly, I like billiards. I am inspired by my father, who was a champion in a billiards tournament in Lahug, Cebu City. I play billiards sometimes and I hope to learn a lot from my father.
REASON FOR JOINING HIVE
My reason for joining this platform is that my friend convinced me to join this opportunity. I know that this hive has many stories, and opportunities to make friends and share life experiences. We can also learn a lot about blogging, such as improving our writing and reading skills. I understand that blogging can be very challenging, but I will do my best to contribute.
HOW I GET TO KNOW HIVE
My teacher introduced Hive to our school, Ilihan Integrated School, in October. She convinced all the students in grade 12 to join Hive. I was really busy that day with my academics, so I didn't attend the Orientation. After a few days, my friend told me that our teachers from Ilihan Integrated School went to Caduawan Elementary School to orient other students.
So, I decided to go to Caduawan School and join Hive. I saw our teachers from Ilihan Integrated School there, and they welcomed me to join this opportunity. Although Hive is not easy unlike other websites, for me this is the time when my writing skills will improve.
