Además, yo me puse a investigar y comencé a conocerlas mejor.

Greetings friends of Holos&Lotus, I am pleased to be here with all of you to share my experience with natural science, medicinal plants and their positive influence on our health.

In the beginning it was more feasible and simple to take a pill to feel good, although my mother who was very assiduous to nature and plants had great faith in these concoctions, even thought they were miraculous, able to save your life and even avoid surgery.

I have an anecdote that involves her as a protagonist, years ago she had a rise in amylases (indicative of acute pancreatitis) and had to be hospitalized. I was about 26 years old, but I remember as if it were yesterday how she overcame the disease, underwent a strict diet and resorted to a natural plant to recover her gallbladder. The studies showed that she had stones and had to be operated, something my mother did not want and began to read about it. The plant she used to heal herself was boldo, she took it for several months and when she had her consultation, oh, surprise, the stones in her gallbladder had disappeared and she did not have to go to the operating room.

Nowadays we do not have it in the garden, however, I can remember that I used to buy it fresh at the market. I tell you that this plant is very good for treating digestive and liver problems, abdominal swelling and as it helps to purify the body in general, it is the perfect ally to take after the ravages of Christmas, so you know, grab data. Among other properties, it influences the nervous system to calm stress and anxiety, as well as help us with insomnia problems.

After a long time, I have learned a lot about plants and I know what I have grown in my garden, in addition to ornamental plants to make it look nice, there is no shortage of medicinal plants such as the túa túa morada, lochita (very good as a brain oxygenator), sage, noni, aloe vera, mala madre, citronella and citrona.

I could mention a lot of them, however, I have used some of them in cases of general discomfort due to COVID-19 and other ailments, they are my favorites and are the ones I am going to highlight in my publication. Nothing better for flu ailment than citronella or malojillo, my neighbor gave it to me when I barely had a few spikelets, today it is beautifully large. We drank the tea when we had fever and general malaise, those that knock you down and I can attest that it was very effective in relieving those symptoms. My father took it for the same reason and felt improvements in his mood, he is a bit depressive and with this tea he noticed the difference. Citronella helps the nervous, digestive and respiratory systems. No wonder his depression went down, it is indicated for it, something I really did not know, I thought it was only for the flu, that's why I love this plant. It should not be taken for a long time because it raises blood pressure, I have low blood pressure, but even so I did not abuse it.

Mala madre or Kalanchoe, is one of those that I take from time to time to clean the kidneys and purify them. It has many other properties such as relieving migraines, it is diuretic and offers protection to the liver. It should not be consumed for a long time because it can be toxic. There are several types, one of them is edible, I prepare it in salads sporadically and it is a delight, this way we consume directly its properties.

Aloe vera is a must, recently my father took it in milkshakes with milky milk to combat digestive problems such as heartburn and gastritis, thanks to this he is fully recovered. I once used the crystal to heal a wound in one of my pets and it was very effective.

Thanks to my neighbor I learned about the treasures in my garden, he told me about the properties of the plants and their use. He told me about the properties of the plants and their use, and I began to investigate and learn more about them. Nowadays, with the country's situation, it is expensive to buy pills and in this complicated scenario, medicinal plants are a great alternative. I also believe that it does not replace traditional medicine, on the contrary, both complement each other, that is my humble opinion.

Grateful to the hivers who invited me to participate in this physical wellness meeting and to emilorios@emilorios for motivating this wonderful initiative that helps us to know more about medicinal plants thanks to the interaction with other hiveramigos. I take the opportunity to invite mcookies@mcookies, maydelvalle@maydelvalle and valrodriguez@valrodriguez, I leave you the LINK for more details.
