My holiday has started and we staying in a place called the Forest of Dean. On way we stopped off for a visit to Tintern Abbey.
Basically it’s a ruin of an old abbey which I weren’t going to pay 7 quid to see but it’s got a pub next door so after a walk on the river wye (not actually on the river by the side of it, if I could do that I be the messiah) we paid a visit to the pub for lunch.
After the long walk there always the need for a beer.
So first up was a pint that tasted of dishwater, brewed in the local area don’t think I be buying that again.
Next up was a IPA from the wye valley brewery which was much better.
We got a wood lodge with a hot tub so I be getting naked for most of week. Will post pics tomorrow if anyone would like a look.
