After learning about a wind anomaly from a local spirit, KK identified it as a Kamaitachi. Following a failed first attempt, I successfully tracked and captured the spirit, defeated nearby forest enemies, fed a helpful dog, and cleared a demon-infested street before cleansing a torii gate.
I met this spirit on the roadside, who said when the wind picks up around there, people end up with scars on them. By a weird thing, though, is that they don't hurt or bleed. And hearing that, KK understood it was the work of a Kamaitachi, realizing a powerful yokai was manipulating the local atmosphere.
KK also mentioned he used to hunt them as a kid, and said if we use his power, we can track it. So I was looking for it, till I found it, but it started escaping right away, kicking up a miniature vortex as it bolted across the asphalt ahead of us.
We had to stay on its trail, as it was fast, but it has stopped at a certain point, so I stayed back, thinking maybe it was not time yet, but it vanished into the thin air before I could launch a binding spell.
I went back to the starting point and found the Kamaitachi again, and this time I bagged this one, successfully weaving my ethereal threads around the creature to lock it down, before it could slip away into the wind again.
Then I noticed there were some Student of Miseries inside the forest who were probably guarding a tiny temple, so I took care of them, utilizing quick elemental strikes to shatter their defenses before they could alert the surrounding woods.
I found this hungry dog at the shrine area, so after petting it, I gave it some dog food, and the dog gave me some coins as a return gift, digging frantically at the loose dirt to uncover a small stash of currency for me.
Then I was going for a torii gate, but I noticed there were some Student of Miseries and a Student of Pain on the street on my way.
I was trying to take them down from a roof, but I accidentally fell down and they were getting close to me, so I used this Tengu to get to a roof again, grappling instantly onto the wings of the flying spirit to lift myself back up.
When those demons were getting back to their spots, I started shooting them one by one with my bow and arrows till there were no one left, picking them off silently from my elevated position before they could understand where the projectiles were coming from.
Then I reached the Torri gate that was being guarded by a single Lementation. I took it down with some fireballs without getting much damage from it back.
Now that the Torii gate was ready for me to take care of, I cleansed it performing the sacred hand seals to dispel the remaining fog and then I found a bracelet inside the temple as a gift.
