I once got a haircut so short it shocked even me. I remember pretending to love it at first. But deep inside, I felt exposed, like someone shaved off a piece of my armor.

Looking back now, I realize it wasn’t really about the haircut. It was about trying something new, making a choice, seeing what it felt like to be a little bold. We need those small rebellions sometimes. Even now, I still trim my own hair some days, badly. A housecat with scissors and curiosity. Still learning how to live with myself—just as I am.
