Love is a Choice More than a Feeling.
Most of us tend to focus on falling in love and use the feeling of love to determine the duration of a relationship.
Falling in love is easy to do, almost effortless, but losing that loving feeling is not that hard to do, either. ... Feelings, however, can be fleeting.
The other person becomes a goal in your life, and you may go through many emotions as you focus on winning him or her.
We tend to identify love most often with euphoria, but that is hardly the only emotion we feel.
But the conclusions are probably true for humans, too, which may explain why it is so hard to break up a long-term romantic relationship.
Losing someone you love is like going through withdrawal.
And remember, even if love is an illusion, that doesn't mean it's not meaningful and real (to our brain, anyway).
The word “unconditional” means that there are no expectations or limitations set.
To love unconditionally is a difficult thing, and most humans aren't good at that.
But true love really does love without trying to change the other person.
Love means putting other people's needs equal to — or before — your own.
Whereas I do believe that all behavior is a choice, some emotions--like love--are not.
We may fall, like it or not, for some of the dumbest reasons, but love, as the poets say, can be blind.
Scientists believe love is a DNA thing, where body chemistries connect through pheromones and such.
Frustration is an emotion the ego uses to keep you stuck in duality because if you start choosing Love (non-duality), that's death to it.
As with all emotions, frustration is a judgment being used to defend the ego's idea of separation and protect its position.
Ultimately, it is the choice for attack on yourself because you are not at peace which is your true nature; and, you only attack from having already chosen to feel guilty.
