It has not fully hit us yet, but change is coming. For the good or ill of humanity though? Do you belong to the human race? Let's speculate on what is down the hill on which we are skateboarding.

Hey Siri

I'm actually optimistic about the possibilities with SI or AI as some call it. I would actually love to have a robot in my house doing things for me but it's a catch. I would need to wipe its database and operating system and replace it with something Linux or open source that does not connect to the internet in order to send any pictures or data from my home to any entity or company.

I have managed to do that with all of my phones and devices. After all, we have the right to be "secure in our homes and papers" including digital papers and photos. For that same reason, I have never had a Siri or a Alexa in my home. There are no smart meters, smart appliances or automated vacuum cleaners. All of those were actually AI 1.0 and the things that are on every web page offering to write code for us is 2.0 through 4.0, the government having the 11, 12, and 13.0 versions.

There is a reason why Obama took a plane to England to speak with people there about the next steps. Pete Hegseth has been to Russia, I believe twice, to speak with Putin for the same reason. If you don't want what you say to be leaked, then you must save in person with no devices in the room. That is the reason. There is no form of modern day electronic communications that will not be easily tapped and encryption broken in the next two years, if not already.

This new I'll do everything for you thing, like scrubbing bubbles, so you don't have tooo-too-ooo... could be part of the golden age as they say if humans let the machines do the repetitive tasks and dedicate themselves to be five fold producers for their own profit and sense of accomplishment. Sadly, every upside has a downside which could turn some into fat consumers of scroll wear on the market. See Wall-E.

Yesterday we had billionaires, millionaires, working class and the poor. I suppose there were many sub-classes in between those, enough to keep us arguing with each other while our politicians did coke, had hookers and sold children into special red light underground island hell holes.

Tomorrow-land will still have people who delegate and grow businesses, people who work hard and make their AI and robots do things that are repetitive. There will also be people who want to slough and consume and people that beg because they have nothing.

Those parts of earth's workings will not change. It will just be shinier and sound mechanical with lots of fans and power supplies were work is being done (only if communism/socialism is kept at bay).

Once all the data centers are built in the factories that make robots and AI equipment are completed, There will be jobs available for those who can do what robots cannot do. Plumbers, mechanics, carpenters, computer technicians (who fix AI when it breaks) will be safe for a few years. But after that, as somebody once wrote, we will have to "Maintain the world population under 500 million." That person knew what was coming.

I don't know about you but I will miss search engines, but not their ads in the results. I bet they will just pipe those into our ears without our consent.
