Tracy was so devastated of how her life was going with no direction despite all the effort she felt she was putting into making her life better. Tracy was a fashion designer but she had no shop of her own, she worked from home. One morning while she was still trying to get a dress ready, her client came and was very angry because Tracy did not bring the clothes at the time they agreed on. When Tracy came out from the house, she tried apologizing but her client was already furious. She promised her client to get the dress ready and bring it to her the next day.
When the client had left, Tracy was so worried because she had an appointment to meet up with. She had previously applied as a home teacher and the person called her that day that she should come over. Tracy was on the other hand was happy because now she has more money to send to her sick mother and also to pay up her rent that was long overdue.
When she arrived at the place, she was looking so out of fashion because she had to walk to the place because the taxi fee was high. When she got inside the house, a man came to meet her and she introduced herself as the Home Lesson teacher that he called. The man already knew she was the one so he didn't say much. They both agreed on the price and it was very good to Tracy and she was very happy, although she tried to hide her happiness in the presence of her employer, Mr Peter.
Mr Peter was married but he already divorced his wife because he caught her cheating with other men. They both had three children together and they were all boys. Mr Peter wanted a home lesson teacher because the first home teacher was found sleeping with his house help. He told Tracy to wait while he went upstairs to call his boys.
The boys were in their room playing video games when he got there, so he told them to come see there new home lesson teacher. They were kind of not ready for new teacher because of what happened with the first teacher but their father encouraged them to be good to their new teacher.
When they saw their new teacher, they were not satisfied but they had to manage. Tracy tried to introduce herself to them but they were not not interested except the little boy. Tracy helped them with their assignments that day and she had to go home very late. When she got home, she meet her younger brother at home. He came to collect more money from her for the upkeep of their sick mother. Tracy felt so frustrated and angry at her brother, she told him to bring their mother to stay with her so that he should go and look for something better to do with his life. Her brother has always depended on her for his own upkeep but was using their sick mother as an excuse.
He felt so guilty when his sister told him those words, but he was not sure of where to start.
The next day, her brother went back to the village and she took the clothes of her client to her. The client refused to give her the complete pay except she knelt down and beg for it. Tracy was in need of the money so she had to do what the client asked her to do.
When she got to the house where she teaches, the children were not happy to see her because, they had failed the assignment she assisted them with because all she did was tell them to do it the way they understood it. She doesn't believe in doing a child's school work for him or her.
She had to apologize to them because they threatened to tell their father and she might loss her job if they do and she needs the money. The children agreed not to tell but they gave her a condition, which was for her to clean up the mess they made in the living room. She agreed but while she was cleaning, the house help accused her of trying to take her job from her. Tracy tried to explain to her but the maid was bent on not accepting anything she had to say because she was the one that replaced her boyfriend who happens to be the former home lesson teacher. She promised to deal with Tracy as long as she remains in the house.
When Mr Peter came back, he settled in and Tracy went to inform him that she was leaving. Mr Peter tried asking how the boys were treating her but she never told him anything, so Mr Peter told her that he was traveling to come back in two days and that she should please take care of his boys and she agreed to take care of them.
When she got home, she saw that her mother and brother were at home, so she went to welcome her mother and then went to prepare food but her brother told her that he was leaving ASAP. She tried persuading him to stay but he told her he had to go so he could find something to do and be the one to be sending money to take care of their mother. Tracy was very happy at the new person her brother has become.
The next day, when she got to work, she was surprised to see that the little boy was very sick but the house help was doing nothing about it, she claimed that their father did not leave any money for hospital bills. Tracy immediately asked one of the boys to get a bowl with water in it and a towel which she used to clean his body to reduce his temperature. She told the boys to look at their brother while she ran out to get some drugs. She immediately got to the pharmacy and got some drugs with the little money she had. When she got to the house, she gave the little boy the drugs after making him eat. It was already late and she had to go home to take care of her sick mother so she told the other boys what to do in case anything happens.
The boys were very surprised of what their teacher did for them, despite all the horrible things they did to her. They felt very guilty and they were willing to change. When Tracy got home, She made dinner and they ate. She then she later gave her mother her medications.
Mr Peter came back that night and he found out that his house help was not around even when his little boy wasn't fine. The other boys told their father all that their home lesson teacher did and he was surprised. While they boys went to bed, Mr Peter sat at the living room waiting for his house help. When he asked her were she was coming from, she told him a lie but Mr Peter acted as if he knew nothing.
The next day, Mr Peter was surprised Tracy hasn't showed up, so he called her and asked her to come take her pay because she told him she had stopped so she can tend to her sick mother. When she got to the house, Mr Peter gave her the cheque of one million in naira for all she has done. Tracy was very overwhelmed and she felt like she has won a whole fortune for herself but while they were speaking, she immediately felt like something was wrong with her mother, so she asked to take her leave after thanking Mr Peter for a thousand times. Mr Peter insisted on dropping her at home. When they got there, she found out her mother was dead, she felt so heartbroken, luckily for her, Mr Peter was there to consoled her. Mr Peter invited her over to his house and asked her to dress beautifully. She was reluctant at first but she told herself it was time to focus more on herself so she prepared herself.
When she got to the house, the boys were surprised to see how beautiful she was and they immediately called their father who was surprised when he saw her too. He asked her to follow him to his room which she did and when there, he played a video that contained all that happened in his absence and she was surprised. Mr Peter knew something was wrong and that was why he placed CCTV round his house.
He asked Tracy to marry him because he saw that she was willing to do anything for family and that was what he needs and it was a YES.
